Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez is a popular Mexican-American singer, actress and music producer. Sara Ramirez was brought up by her American mother and was subjected to a variety of racist taunts and caused her to feel uncomfortable. After she participated in a school competition and received the highest praise for her singing at the age of 9 she began to grow more confident. Not only did it boost her confidence but her ambitions changed. In 1992 she graduated with her degree from New York's Julliard School. In 1993 she made her Broadway debut with Paul Simon's The Capeman. Her first film was You've Got Mail. But her biggest break came when she appeared in the role of The Lady of The Lake in the very first Broadway performance of Spamalot receiving not just the Tony Award for her performance but also great critical acclaim. She gained more recognition when she appeared in Grey's Anatomy on ABC as Dr. Callie Torres. Also, she is a well-known artist and produced an extended show. She is also an activist and works extensively for LGBT rights.
