Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw, also known as Elizabeth Alice MacGraw, is an American designer and author who has received numerous awards for her work. She has been a vocal advocate for the rights of animals. Ali MacGraw is well-known for films such as Love Story, Goodbye Columbus and The Getaway. Her family was an artist family in New York and wanted to explore a career in the artistic fields. Her first job was as a photographer's assistant, before progressing to modeling and acting. Her first two movies were noticed and she received the Golden Globe Award of Most promising newcomer. MacGraw's 1970 film Love Story proved a major success and earned her international recognition along with an Academy Award' nomination and an Academy Award nomination and a Golden Globe award. Within just three short films, she became the top female box office star across the globe. At Grauman's Chinese Theater In 1972, she had her name and footprints hand-engraved. Other films she has appeared in include The Getaway Convoy Players as well as the TV miniseries The Winds of War. In 1991, her autobiography Moving Pictures came out. MacGraw has been married three times.
