Ina-Garten

Ina Gardner is author of numerous popular American cooking books. Ina also hosts Barefoot Contessa on Food Network. The show began in 2002. Ina began her career by working for the White House, writing the nuclear energy budget as well as policy reports. Though she initially found it intellectually stimulating she eventually became bored. Then she bought a Barefoot Contessa a small speciality food store. It took her nearly 18 years to make the shop hugely successful, and then decided to sell the business. Then she began writing her first cookbook. Others followed, and so magazines too. Her Food Network television program also began and rapidly gained popularity. Additionally, she offers everything from equipment to cooking supplies and containers. Ina she has not attended any cooking school, nor worked in a restaurant and she is completely self-taught. Her easy-going approach to entertaining and her straightforward cooking style are well known. She is known for her quick and easy recipes, such as Skillet Baked Lemon Chicken Macaroni, Cheese and with Beef Bourguignon and Balsamic-Roasted Brussels Sprouts.
